I had been a pretty solid supporter ...Interesting. I had been a pretty solid supporter of cap-and-trade until I read this; that position doubtless had to do with the fact that I recently wrote marketing copy for an emissions-portfolio-management firm.

I am somewhat...irritated, though, by the author's seemingly sneering insouciance about global warming. How much evidence does it take, for all love, to establish that the current climate of the Earth is unlike anything in the available evidence of its history...and that we really have no idea how severe the consequences might be? Uncertainty on this question is not, I think, a valid reason to assume that "things will just work out." The available evidence seems to indicate that the climate will work itself out, all right, but not in a way that is particularly advantageous to human civilization. I think to suggest otherwise is to be as disingenuous as an ID "scientist" arguing that evolution is "just a theory."Sebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02897192617824413929noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6938931586617910694.post-45932031049044078522007-09-28T14:49:00.000-07:002007-09-28T14:49:00.000-07:00Nuclear is defintely the way to go. Silly outdate...Nuclear is defintely the way to go. Silly outdated fears of nuclear power need to be overcome. Just don't put it near my house.

-DezmondAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
